Wedding Photography at The Lovekyn Chapel

The Lovekyn Chapel is the only remaining free standing Chantry chapel in England and is situated close to the centre of Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey. It is a grade II listed building with a fascinating history. It was built in 1309 as a Chantry Chapel for the Lovekyn family. After the dissolution of the Chantries in 1547, Queen Elizabeth 1 granted the use of the chapel as a grammar school. The light and elegant chapel is no longer used for religious services but is licensed for civil marriages, civil partnerships and naming ceremonies.

The Lovekyn Chapel provides an intimate venue for celebrations involving up to 60 guests. The chapel has a pretty courtyard and a small reception room where drinks and food can be served. It has toilet facilities.
